On a sidenote, my support ticket has been open for 10 days, and I still haven't gotten a non-automated response from valve. For some reason this also prevents the game from crashing on startup for me. and have been playing it several hours at a time for the past couple of days / No Issues So it has been 13 days and no issues at all using 195.81 drivers. This skips the valve video (the one with the dude with the valve in his head). a couple of days ago, I bought the Left 4 Dead 1st version on DVD, I installed the DVD through steam. Under the "general" pane, I clicked on "set launch options," and then typed in I currently have a support ticket open with Valve, but it's already two days old.ĭoes anyone else have this problem? Does anybody know how to fix this?Įdit/update: I was able to fix TF2 by going into Steam, right clicking on the game, and choosing "properties". I have verified the local file contents of TF2. I have deleted and then reinstalled both TF2 and Steam.
I am on a 13 inch macbook pro that is less than a year old. Prior to this, I had TF2 running perfectly. Then I get an error message that reads "hl2_osx quit unexpectedly." As soon as I open either Left 4 Dead 2 or TF2, a black window goes full screen and then closes.
